Festivities

Nativity Performance-It’s a baby!

We were treated to a magnificent nativity performance from the infant children, entitled “It’s a baby!”

They had learned their lines and the direction on stage perfectly, sang the songs beautifully and remembered all of the actions. We couldn’t be more proud of them!

Christingle Service-St George’s School

We had a lovely time on Monday 17th  December at St George’s School taking part in the Christingle Service held especially for Manland School. The whole school plus some volunteer parents enjoyed joining in with some traditional carols.

The children also learned that each element of a Christingle has a special meaning and helps to tell the Christian story. The orange represents the world, the red ribbon (or tape) symbolises the love and blood of Christ, the sweets and dried fruit represent all of God’s creation and the lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world, bringing hope to people living in darkness.

Pantomime-Whole School Trip

The whole school enjoyed their trip to The Harpenden Halls to watch Snow White. It is lovely when all of the year groups have the opportunity to experience such an event together. The children behaved beautifully both on the journey and at the Halls. We were all thoroughly entertained by the dancing, singing and comedy!
