SEND/Inclusion

Welcome to our Special Educational Needs and Disability’s (SEND) page.  We understand that there is a lot of information around SEND and so if you would like any further clarification, please contact our Inclusion Leader, Sonya Parrott.  Our Inclusion Leader oversees the day-to-day operation of the school’s SEND Policy and co-ordinates the provision for children with a SEND.

At Manland, we are committed to ensuring all children reach their full potential and become confident learners, ready to take the next steps in their journey to becoming a young adult.  We understand that for children with a SEND, effective support and needs based provisioning is essential. We therefore work closely with the child and parents and carers to ensure we are assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing the needs of any child with a SEND in line with the SEND Code of Practice (January 2015).

We have some documents that you may find helpful:-

SEND Policy

We recognise that many pupils will have special needs at some time during their school life. This policy is a statement of the aims, practices and strategies we have agreed at Manland Primary School to support children who have, or may have, a special educational need or disability and their families.

SEND Information Report (School Offer)

This report will help you to understand how Manland School implements our SEND Policy.  You can use this document to find out more about how we assess, plan, implement and review processes to support children who have, or may have, a SEND and their families. This document also contains the different provisions we have in place to support children with a SEND.

Please note this report is different from the Local Offer which is written by the Local Authority and outlines Hertfordshire County Council’s offer for children with a SEND.
