Helping in School

We are very fortunate, at Manland, to have a number of people who volunteer in a range of capacities e.g. helping children with their reading, accompanying trips, sharing a particular skill or talent or maybe helping to keep our garden smart. Many people also help with events run by our Home School Association (HSA). In all instances we have a duty to safeguard our children and there will necessarily be certain forms to be completed in order that checks can be made.

Anyone volunteering on a regular basis needs to complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)  application and Mrs Cally Antcliff (School Secretary) can help you with this.  You will also need to complete a “Disqualification Declaration” form.  This can be found below.

We also have a quick guide which will be helpful to volunteers and this can be found below.

The school has a number of policies in place to safeguard our children.  If you would like to access any of the school’s safeguarding policies please refer to the Statutory Information section of the school website or ask in the school office.
