This December, it was the turn of the infants to show us just how talented they are when putting on their production of ‘Prickly Hay, A Nativity Hoedown’.
There was lots of singing, dancing and acting to entertain and charm the audience. We had donkeys, stable hands and all the usual nativity characters. The Year 2 children were so confident saying their lines and singing their songs; Reception and Year 1 children also sang their class songs beautifully. Well done to all the children who have worked so hard this term to learn the songs and actions. You were all AMAZING!
We had a lovely evening on the Wednesday 6th December at the Harpenden Rotary Carol Concert. We took thirteen of our year 5 choir members to perform as part of a huge choir of children from other local schools. Well done to brave Alex who started the concert in a group of twelve singers to sing the first verse of Once in Royal David’s City with the church in darkness, lit only by glow sticks held by the choir members. The huge children’s choir sang six carols from memory, including two in European languages and joined in all the congregational carols. The sound that the children made was fantastic and the real smiles on their faces showed how much they were all enjoying their music making. We are very proud all of our Manland choir and are looking forward more events next term. Once again we thank all of our parents and carers in supporting the children in learning words, ironing shirts and coming along to the concert.
