Return to Curriculum

Subject by subject information can be accessed via the links on the right hand side of this page. Whilst the core curriculum subjects of English, Maths and Science are taught in discrete lessons, opportunities are regularly created for cross-curricular learning across the curriculum.

As well as stimulating learning experiences being offered in lessons, the children enjoy a wide variety of enriching visits to, for example, museums, geographical features and local places of worship. In addition, the children in the Upper Juniors benefit hugely from the residential visits to Shortenills Environmental Centre (in Year 5) and Caythorpe Court (a PGL centre, visited by Year 6).

Parents and carers are kept informed of the subject coverage in each class through ‘Meet the Teacher’ mornings early in the school year and termly curriculum planners, which show in detail what will be taught in each subject that term.
